BOW & ARROW WITH TWO ENTWINED SERPENTS AND SHINING SUN
Unlike the commonly seen Caduceus symbol used to represent doctors, medicine and healthcare, the Bow and Arrow with two entwined Serpents is one of its kind Unique creation to the Government Medical College Paderu as the Bow and Arrow symbolize the Tribal tools and acts as a metamorph of Caduceus symbol, representing medicine as a powerful tool like bow and arrow to treat and cure suffering and make lives bright like a Shining Sun.
CHAIN OF PEOPLE
This is a Warli Art depicting a famous tribal dance called “Dhimsa”, where the chain of people transcends to the metaphor of 'ancient work ethics', marking the dignity of labor, equality and unity, thereby accentuating indigenousness. In the context of this logo, it indicates “Lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu”, meaning it reminds us that our relationships with all beings and things should be mutually beneficial if we ourselves desire happiness and liberation from suffering.
MOUNTAINS & HILLS
Government Medical College Paderu is situated in a broad picturesque and rich valley with an altitude of over 900 meters above the sea level surrounded by the mountains and Hills of the Eastern Ghats.

MOTTO
తమసోమా జ్యోతిర్గమయ (tamaso mā jyotirgamaya)—means “Lead me from darkness to light.” When we refer to darkness and light, they mean ignorance and knowledge, respectfully. This is so because ignorance, like darkness, obscures true understanding. and in the same way the only remedy for darkness is light and only remedy for ignorance is knowledge.
