Government Medical College, Paderu
As per the Government Orders to be issued, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has proposed the establishment of Government Medical College, Paderu, along with a teaching hospital, to function as a tertiary care referral center for the region.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has taken a policy decision to establish a Government Medical College in every district to strengthen public healthcare and medical education across the state. In this initiative, Government Medical College, Paderu has been proposed to cater to the healthcare and educational needs of the tribal and rural population of the Alluri Sitarama Raju District.
The Directorate of Medical Education, Andhra Pradesh has initiated the process for establishing Government Medical College at Paderu, and the proposal is being developed in accordance with the norms and guidelines prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Detailed project estimates and administrative approvals are to be furnished and certified by the competent authorities.
